Something different for a change!
We all like to believe that in every situation, we analyze facts and make rational sensible choices, but as it happens, that is not the case!
Recent research presented in a BBC Horizon episode provides new evidence that most of the day-to-day choices we make are actually made by our unconscious mind. Only after a choice has been made it is passed on to the conscious mind to be executed. Our conscious mind is therefore not the decision-maker but the executor.
So what criteria does our unconscious mind uses to make choices? Believe me, you don’t wanna know ;)

And here are some close-ups.
Hi Folks! So this here is the first-ever painting that took me a whole darn week to finish!
This is a gift to my wife on our wedding anniversary! When my 2.8 year told son Rohan saw it, he immediately pointed to the man and the child and said “Daddy and Rohan”, and thats how the painting got its name.
Your comments and criticism is most welcome, as always : )

This little one I made for my 2.8 year old son on Father’s Day. It’s supposed to be a bit surreal.
The style is a tribute to famous Estonian artist Navitrolla. Check out his work, he is amazing!

I suddenly realized I’m getting stuck with yellows and greens and reds etc. always warm colours, so should try something different.
Here is the something different.
The lighthouse at la point du raz in Brittany, France at dusk.
It has to be said that this photograph does not do justice to the real painting. Somehow the camera could not capture the light rays or the beams from the lighthouse very well.
Nevertheless, here it is.

Here is my latest artwork. I rather enjoyed doing this because it presented some new challenges. Hope you like it.
The composition is partly based on a photograph I found at www.mourgefile.com which is an excellent resource for artists to find royalty-free photo references for inspiration.
The title is a tribute to Robert Frost, from one of my favourite poems of his “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”, the last paragraph of which goes like this:
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
